About Accelerate Exercise Physiology

Community Based

Exercise Rehabilitation Service

Est 2020

Accelerate Exercise Physiology was established by Accredited Exercise Physiologist, Sonya in Sydney in 2020. She provided her services to the Sutherland Shire and St George community for 3 years before deciding to relocate.

Drawn to the laid back lifestyle that Newcastle offers, Sonya and her partner relocated to Newcastle where she now works part time as a Clinical Exercise Physiologist at a well established Exercise Oncology practice, The Kaden Centre.

Sonya provides specialised exercise rehabilitation and physical activity programs for individuals with chronic health and pain conditions and disabilities.

Sonya believes that living a healthy and active lifestyle should be accessible to everyone but understands that some health conditions require specific support and treatment to achieve this.

Why choose Home Visit Exercise Rehabilitation?

Home visits for exercise rehabilitation offer several key benefits, including

    • Home visits provide a comprehensive and client-centric approach that supports long-term adherence to exercise rehabilitation.

    • Eliminates the need for travel, reducing stress and time constraints for patients.

    • Tailored exercise routines based on the client's living environmen

    • Clients usually feel more relaxed and motivated to participate in exercise in a familiar setting.

    • Reduces intimidation that can occur in gym or clinical environments.

    • Easier to maintain a regular exercise schedule without transportation or logistical barriers.

    • Programs are seamlessly integrated into daily routines

    • Professionals can assess and adapt exercises based on environmental factors in the home.

    • Close supervision ensures proper form, reducing injury risks

    • Care providers can observe lifestyle factors and make broader health recommendations.

    • Involves family members, if appropriate, to create a supportive environment.

    • Reduced strain for those with limited energy or chronic conditions who find travel challenging.
